WHY OUR COSTUMES ARE THE BEST:
Many traditional Halloween costumes and masks are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride which releases cancer-causing dioxins into air), also known as vinyl, which is a plastic that is Not recyclable. Soft-vinyl usually contains phthalates, chemicals that have been linked to liver cancer and reproductive abnormalities by disrupting hormones.

Many costume manufacturers used to use natural fibers like cotton, linen and silk, but have switched to synthetics because they take longer to ignite. However, when synthetic fibers are ignited they melt and can cause severe burns! Concerned Parents are now demanding natural cotton and chemical-free fabrics for their children.

Use CAUTION with all costumes. Whenever possible for children, choose closer fitting costumes (like you would with cotton sleepwear that is non-flame retardant) without loose accessories that could come in contact with halloween pumpkin candles, and other open flames. Wash all costumes once before wearing.

Though our Harrisons Halloween infant costumes are not organic, they are 100 percent cotton, and as a natural fabric they are a great alternative to toxic pvc and dangerous synthetic baby costumes with harmful chemicals.
